Last June 13, 2009, a group hosted a knitting event to celebrate World Knit Day. Those who joined the celebration knitted all types of projects. All these were donated to needy kids.

A woman in Toronto who wants to knit while travelling, have created an atmosphere of knitting conversations during her trips on  a bus or even aboard a  train. People around her would suddenly talk about knitting stuff when they see her working on her knit projects.
